At 3am the other night I couldn't get back to sleep. In-between my various mid-night musings, an idea came to me, and the longer I lay awake, the more it seemed like a good idea. Consequently, we're doing something different this November rather than the usual Cyber Week sale.
My husband recently came home from a trip to Uganda, and one of the groups he visited was a rural village school near Lira, in the north of the country. They are urgently in need of beds for those pupils who need to stay overnight. Presently most of these children are sleeping on basic mats on the floor. Sadly, two pupils died of Malaria last year because in addition to sleeping on a dusty floor, there is no way to hang mosquito nets.
The UK charity World in Need is helping to provide proper beds for these children, along with mattresses and mosquito nets, and I've decided to donate 100% of November's sales from Copywork Cave to their appeal.* Together we can help provide a good and safe night sleep for these young people.
